The T-1 Program is a new generation software program for Union Organizers to manage and track their campaigns more effectively. One year in the making, the T-1 Program was developed by the Organize Indiana Project (OIP) partnership with extensive input and assistance from over 300 Union Organizers.

A user-friendly, self-installing program, the T-1 runs on the common Microsoft Access database system. In addition to complete organizing campaign management capabilities, the T-1 provides organizers the ability to maintain profiles relating to organizing campaigns on workers, employers, and managers.

One feature that represents the new generation nature of the T-1 Program is the ability of organizers to maintain multi-layered campaign data. In traditional programs, campaign data was maintained in a linear fashion. Campaign data was confined to single employers and single sets of workers and managers. This did not lend itself to comprehensive campaigns which included multiple employers, multiple geographic locations, complete jurisdictions, or complete industries.

The T-1 allows Organizers to maintain inter-related campaign data in a comprehensive manner that allows for multi-employer campaigns, campaigns across a complete jurisdiction, multi-location campaigns, or campaigns across a complete industry. This means that workers and managers can be associated with multiple employers or campaigns.

Other new generation features of the T-1 include:

Mailing Labels: The ability to create formatted mailing labels with a single mouse click. The Organizer can create hundreds of ready-to-go mailing labels in the fraction of the time normally required.

Queries: The T-1 provides Organizers the ability to search the database for relevant information in a quick and user-friendly manner. Organizers can pinpoint the exact information needed to make strategic campaign assessments. The search results can be viewed or printed in report form.

Matching Data Collection Sheets: To speed data entry in the T-1, the program contains complete data collection sheets which can printed for use in the field. The sheets are tabbed to match the on-screens tabs of the T-1.
