Industry Data Sources

A note on Industry data

The Census Bureau collects and publishes a wide variety of construction industry business and employment statistics. Data is reported using a numeric classification code known as the North American Industrial Classification System also known as NAICS. The NAICS codes replace the old U.S. Standard Industrial Classification system (SIC). All industries and major subdivisions of these industries are assigned a numeric code.
